Our History
The O.I. Arnold / D.K. Slayton American Legion Post #100 in Sparta, Wisconsin, was established in 1919, making it one of the first American Legion posts in the country. At Post 100 American Legion, we proudly serve Veterans and our community through support, fundraising, and much more, embodying the spirit of the Sparta American Legion and the broader Sparta Legion.
The Four Pillars
The American Legion was founded upon four pillars of service in 1919, which guide our efforts at the Sparta American Legion, particularly at Post 100 American Legion. These four pillars shape our work and what we do for America. We pledge ourselves to our Veterans, Children & Youth, Americanism, and National Security, embodying the spirit of the Sparta Legion.
